Community Involvement

Volunteer Educational Work
Sportime knows how important education is to our children. Therefore, it is company policy that every employee is allotted 24 work hours, per year, to spend out of the office and in the classroom in a volunteer capacity. This policy encourages employees, with and without children, to become more conscious of education in the United States and how it can be improved.

United Way
Each year Sportime has a United Way drive for all employees who wish to donate. Last year Sportime employees donated a whopping $6,713 toward the United Way Fund, and the Sportime corporate donation was a generous $6,000.

Sportime also hosts a company Bake Sale, Silent Auction and an Arts And Crafts Sale every year to raise money. Employees bake their favorites for other employees to purchase and enjoy; various Sportime products are put on auction; and employees use their talents to create wonderful arts and crafts that are quickly sold. All proceeds go to the United Way.

Community Service Council
Sportime has recently developed its own Community Service Council. Co-chaired by two Sportime associates, the purpose of the Council is to increase community service activity among Sportime employees. Council members promote various fundraising and volunteer events around the company to increase employee awareness of participation opportunities.
